A.A.A.D.D. Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder!

Recently, I was diagnosed with A.A.A.D.D. -Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder.

This is how it manifests:
I decide to water my garden.
As I turn on the hose in the driveway, I look over at my car and decide it needs washing.
As I start toward the garage, I notice mail on the porch table that I brought up from the mail box earlier.
I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car. I lay my car keys on the table, put the junk mail in the garbage can under the table, and notice that the can is full.
So, I decide to put the bills back on the table and take out the garbage first. But then I think, since I'm going to be near the mailbox when I take out the garbage anyway, I may as well pay the bills first.
I take my check book off the table, and see that there is only one check left.My extra checks are in my desk in the study, so I go inside the house to my desk whereI find the can of Pepsi I'd been drinking.I'm going to look for my checks, but first I need to push the Pepsi aside so that I don't accidentally knock it over.
The Pepsi is getting warm, and I decide to put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold.As I head toward the kitchen with the Pepsi, a vase of flowers on the counter catches my eye--they need water.. I put the Pepsi on the counter and discover my reading glasses that I've been searching for all morning.I decide I better put them back on my desk, but first I'm going to water the flowers.I set the glasses back down on the counter, fill a container with water and suddenly spot the TV remote.
Someone left it on the kitchen table.I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV, I'll be looking for the remote, but I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table, so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs, but first
I'll water the flowers.I pour some water in the flowers, but quite a bit of it spills on the floor. So, I set the remote back on the table, get some towels and wipe up the spill. Then, I head down the hall trying to remember what I was planning to do.
At the end of the day:the car isn't washed the bills aren't paid there is a warm can of Pepsi sitting on the counterthe flowers don't have enough water, there is still only 1 check in my check book,I can't find the remote,I can't find my glasses, and I don't remember what I did with the car keys. Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today.
I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all damn day, and I'm really tired.I realize this is a serious problem, and I'll try to get some help for it, but first I'll check my e-mail....

Do me a favor.Forward this message to everyone you know, because I don't remember who I've sent it to.Don't laugh --

if this isn't you yet, your day is coming!!

5 Things You Never Knew Your Cell Phone Could Do

For all the folks with cell phones. (This should be printed and kept in your car, purse, and wallet. Good information to have with you.) There are a few things that can be done in times of graveemergencies.Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it:

FIRST
EmergencyThe Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112. If you find Yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile network and there is an Emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to Establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly, this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked Try it out.

SECOND
Have you locked your keys in the car?Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys In the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot From your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other 'remote' for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).Editor's Note: It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a cell phone!

'THIRD
Hidden Battery PowerImagine your cell battery is very low. To activate, press the keys *3370#. Your cell phone will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your cell phone next time.

FOURTH
How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone? To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following Digits on your phone: *#06#. A 15-digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe.If your phone gets stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones. And Finally.....

FIFTH
Free Directory Service for CellsCell phone companies are charging us $1.00 to $1.75 or more for 411 information calls when they don't have to. Most of us do not carry a telephone directory in our vehicle, which makes this situation even more of a problem. When you need to use the 411 information option, simply dial: (800)FREE411, or (800) 373-3411 without incurring any charge at all. Program this into your cell phone now.

Happy Easter to a Friend

When the cold winds blow,
Will you offer me a warm place to go?
He said you would.

When my tears flow free in the pain of grief,
Will you weep with me?
He said you would.

When I'm in despair from the burden's load,
Will you stop to share?
He said you would.

In the joyful days when my spirit sings,
Will you join in praise?
He said you would.

Will you be my friend?
Will you walk with me?
Until the journey's end?
He said you would.

$5,000 Paper House

Swiss company The Wall AG has a perfect solution for third-world shanty towns, semi-permanent refugee camps and approximately 7.2% of adult Americans: paper houses!
This isn't mere papercraft—the Universal World House is a $5,000, 390 square foot modular home, outfitted with plumbing and boarding facilities to support up to eight (eight!) residents each. The secret of its construction is its "paper" shell; the resin-soaked cellulose, made from recycled paper, is shaped into honeycomb walls, which provide structural integrity and insulation to the houses.
Aside from having a convertible closed/open-air kitchen with table and benches, the Universal World House has a hidden killer feature:
It has been designed so that a family can slaughter an animal on the veranda, wash it in the shower and hang it, along with fish, on an integrated washing line.
Hooray!(?) Apparently a few countries have placed orders for the UWH, including Nigeria and Angola, but I could see how domestic aide organizations could benefit from something like this too

Building Your House

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house-building business to live a more leisurely life with his wife and enjoy his extended family.

He would miss the paycheck each week, but he wanted to retire. They could get by. The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go & asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor.

The carpenter said yes, but over time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end a dedicated career.

When the carpenter finished his work, his employer came to inspect the house. Then he handed the front-door key to the carpenter and said, "This is your house... my gift to you."The carpenter was shocked! What a shame!

If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently. So it is with us. We build our lives, a day at a time, often putting less than our best into the building. Then, with a shock, we realize we have to live in the house we have built.

If we could do it over, we would do it much differently.

But, you cannot go back. You are the carpenter, and every day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall.

Someone once said, "Life is a do-it-yourself project." Your attitude, and the choices you make today, help build the "house" you will live in tomorrow. Therefore, Build wisely!

CAUTION!!!!!!!

DO NOT turn ON Air Conditioning IMMEDIATELY as soon as you enter the car!

Please open the windows after you enter your car and do not turn on the air conditioning immediately. According to a research done - the car dashboard, sofa, air freshener emits Benzene, a Cancer causing toxin (carcinogen – take note of the heated elastic smell in your car). In addition to causing cancer, it poisons your bones, causes anemia, and reduces white blood cells.

Prolonged exposure will cause Leukemia, increasing the risk of cancer. May also cause miscarriage. Acceptable Benzene level indoors is 50 mg per sq.ft.

A car parked indoors with the windows closed will contain 400-800 mg of Benzene.

If parked outdoors under the sun at a temperature above 60 degrees F, the Benzene level goes up to 2000-4000 mg, 40 times the acceptable level…& the people inside the car will inevitably inhale an excess amount of the toxins.

It is recommended that you open the windows and door to give time for the interior to air out before you enter. Benzene is a toxin that affects your kidney and liver, and is very difficult for your body to expel this toxic stuff.

Ghét Mà Trông

Ai đó ghét ai chớ ghét nhiều ,
Ghét nhiều ăn uống rất khó tiêu ,
Nụ cười hàm tiếu trông như mếu ,
Khiến lòng ai đó thấy phiêu diêu .

Ai đó ghét ai ghét thấy mồ ,
Làm cho ai đó muốn cặp bồ ,
Băn khoăn cứ sợ mình bị hố ,
Bánh vẽ ăn hoài vẫn cứ vô .

Ai đó ghét ai chớ ởm ờ ,
Gặp mặt trước trường vẫn làm ngơ ,
Nhìn ai lúng túng theo xớ rớ ,
Ghét đó mà thương có ai ngờ ...

Sao em lại trách em lỡ hẹn

Sao em lại trách em lỡ hẹn

Khi lỗi hẹn em buồn đời vô vị
Trách duyên mình như sương đượm đầu mai
Nói làm sao người ấy biết đêm dài
Trong mộng tưởng tình vẫn hoài vô vọng

Chiếc lá nhỏ cuộn mình theo biển sóng
Mưa giọt đầy tím lạnh tuổi tình mơ
Đĩnh non cao dòng nước vẫn ơ hờ
Da thịt nát thẫn thờ ngày tháng cũ

Chân bước ngược lòng tràn cơn nước lũ
Bóng phai tàn mưa đẫm ước đường xa
Có là chi một ánh mắt dương tà
Phiếm nhạc chiếc giã biệt ngày thôi nắng

Gió đêm thâu cuốn theo tình xa vắng
Mãnh trăng thưa ta chợt nhớ giọt buồn
Khung cửa nhỏ gió luồn cành hoa vỡ
Bóng hoa mờ dệt màu áo thiên thâu

April Fool day hoax

Instant Color TV1962:
In 1962 there was only one tv channel in Sweden, and it broadcast in black and white.
The station's technical expert, Kjell Stensson, appeared on the news to announce that, thanks to a new technology, viewers could convert their existing sets to display color reception.
All they had to do was pull a nylon stocking over their tv screen.
Stensson proceeded to demonstrate the process. Thousands of people were taken in. Regular color broadcasts only commenced in Sweden on April 1, 1970.
